Terminal Integral Synergetic Control for Wind Turbine at Region II Using a Two-Mass Model

Mechanical loads considerably impact wind turbine lifetime, and a reduction in this load is crucial while designing controller for maximum power extraction at below-rated speed (region II). A trade-off between energy minimum on the drive train shaft big challenge. Some conventional controllers extract with cost of high fluctuations generator torque transient load. Therefore, to overcome above issues, work proposes four different integral synergetic control schemes region II using two-mass model estimator. In addition, proposed have been developed enhance from whilst reducing input oscillations. Moreover, terminal manifold has considered improve finite time convergence rate. The effectiveness validated through 600 kW Fatigue, Aerodynamics, Structures, Turbulence simulator. Further, were tested by spectrums, such as Kaimal, Von Karman, Smooth-Terrain, NWTCUP, turbulent intensities (10% 20%). overall performance was examined 24 profiles. detailed comparative analysis carried out based mechanical loads.
